Jew pride on the rise?

The New Hollywood Jew?

For years in order to make it in show biz jews changed their name to hide their roots, fearing it would only hamper their career aspirations. After all people seem to think there are "too many Jews in Hollywood as it is."

Scott Ian co-founder of Anthrax and one of the fastest guitarists of all time, born Scott Rosenfeld.

David Bryan, Bon Jovis keyboardist, was called David Rashbaum until he joined the jersey band.

and of course Bob Dylan, whose mother knows him as Robert Zimmerman.

It seemed the only successfull jew was a hidden one.
The marranos of the 21st century, jewish celebs were the farthest thing from proud.

No longer.
Welcome to the new Jew.
Who would think that one of the top selling reggae artist of the year would be a fedora sporting, hairy faced Chabadnik .
Or that the queen of pop, Maddona, would become Esther, the kabbalah spouting Jew wannabe?
Not to mention Demi and Asthon, Britney, Paris and the other kabbalah addicted celebs.

Sarah Silverman called the funniest woman in comedy isn't the only open jew in the comedy field, how about John Stewart the top political comedian of our times?
and the list goes on and on...

Now there's a new revolutionary in the jewish music biz, Jew Da Maccabi, is trying to do to Jewish rap what matisyahu did for Jewish Reggae, bring it to the mainstream.
With catchy lyrics, a smooth delivery, and some catchy beats this Florida based Hassidic rapper is bending the rules, while spitting some serious rhymes over traditional hasidic tunes.
